website

This website was created using micro.blog and is deployed using Hugo. As of 2026, I use an amazing and clean design (Arabica) by Sean Lunsford, and all source code is on GitHub. Starting August, 2026, I transition over to a design based on the Microwave theme by @josh_____d.

Guestbook powered by https://guestbooks.meadow.cafe, and inspiration for my tiny pixel bear holding a cup of coffee and thinking of the Sacred Heart can be found here.

tech

software

  • Obsidian when I need markdown notes or for larger projects, and Apple Notes for basically everything else.
  • Raindrop.io is my web research retention tool for the most part, when I have too many browser tabs open.
  • I really enjoy Scrivener by Literature and Latte for longer-form writing and focused thought collecting.

gear

  • I’m working off an Apple M4 Pro chip MacBook Pro with 24 gigs of RAM, and for some reason that doesn’t seem like enough.
  • I frequently use a mechanical keyboard from Velocifire Mk (they have a Mac layout and are programmable with swappable keys) when writing to feel a little more like Hemingway.
  • Whenever I’m not around my mechanical keyboard and need that typewriter sound, I turn on Haptyk, a clever velocity-sensitive keyboard using the MacBook’s hidden internal accelerometer within the SPU.
  • Kindle Oasis for my digital library
  • When in a pinch, I have been known to use a manual espresso machine, the minipresso by Wacaco, especially when traveling. It’s incredible.
